The DIPY WORKSHOP Cancellation

It is with deep regret that we are informing you of the cancellation of the DIPY Workshop 2020 in Bloomington, Indiana. DIPY Team has been monitoring the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) constantly. The decision to cancel was based on the latest scientific data being reported, and the fact that some attendees at this meeting are coming from outside the US, including countries where the CDC upgraded its warning to level 3 as recently. Furthermore, the warning level has been upgraded for some US states too.


We recognize that the timing of this decision has significantly inconvenienced many of you. However, this decision was made out of deep concern for the health and well-being of our registrants, staff, vendors, the Bloomington community.

Refund Information

We are actively working with our vendors to process refunds for all registration fees. As we learn more about the timing, we will provide you with additional updates.

The workshop will include a data accelerator where you will be able to analyze your own data together with the DIPY developers. More than 15 DIPY developers will be available this year on site to help. All tutorials will run on 3 levels: novice, intermediate and advanced. The workshop will include social events and activities. The workshop is open to academic, clinical and industrial attendees from all fields of neuroscience and neuroengineering.

Getting to Bloomington

Flying:
The closest airport to Bloomington, IN is the Indianapolis International Airport, located 50 miles north.

Car Services:
The Indianapolis Airport Authority offers eight car rental options at the Ground Transportation Center, located on the first floor of the Terminal Garage.

Shuttle:
Go Express (800) 589-6004 or (812) 332-6004. Go Express offers shuttle services to Bloomington and is located at the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). The shuttle loading area is at the Ground Transportation Center located directly across from the baggage claim area on the lower level of the main terminal. A customer service representative is located at the service desk in the Ground Transportation Center between the hours of 8am-11pm. For your return trip please reference the website for a suggested pick up time.

Highway Access:
Bloomington can be accessed from two major state highways; Indiana Highway 37, which runs north-south from Indianapolis in the north to Interstate 64 in the south and Indiana Highway 46, which runs east-west from Columbus in the east to Terre Haute in the west. Several Interstates are easily accessed from these two highways. Get driving directions here.

Arriving to Bloomington:
Visit Bloomington (812) 856-4648 - The Indiana University Visitor Information Center is located inside the Indiana Memorial Union. Here, you can pick up a campus map and campus resources.

Bus Service:
Bloomington Transit (812) 336-7433 - Find bus schedules here. IU Campus Bus Service (812) 855-8384 - Campus Bus Service operates weekdays from 7:30 am to 12 Midnight, Saturdays from 8:40 am to 11:30 pm and Sunday 10:30 am to 11:30 pm. This is a free service. Hotels near IU:
There's only one IU hotel, the Biddle Hotel located at the Indiana Memorial Union, which puts you right in the heart of campus. But there are also a number of local lodging properties that get you close to the campus. Find hotels here

VISA to USA

Conference attendees are personally responsible for making their own visa arrangements.

Visitors to the USA must present a valid passport and a valid visa issued by a US Consular Official,unless the visitor is a citizen of a country eligible for the Visa Waiver Program.

Please familiarize yourself with visa requirements well in advance of the conference.

PLEASE NOTE: We will not be providing “Letters of Invitation” to the conference; however, “Letters of Confirmation” (acknowledging that you will be attending the conference) can be requested. According to the Indiana University policy, you have to be first registered for the NAME conference in order to receive the "Letter of Confirmation".

Driving to IU Bloomington

We suggest that you consult Mapquest or Google maps for the best directions to Bloomington and return or use GPS to guide you. Driving to and from the airport to campus is simple and direct. Driving time from the airport to camps is approximately 50 minutes.


Car Rental - Bus, Taxis


Most major car rental companies provide service at the airport. Car Rental companies are located in the Ground Transportation Center on the lower level of the terminal, outside Baggage Claim.

There is no convenient bus service from the Indianapolis Airport to IU Bloomington.

Taxis service is available, but is very expensive and not recommended.
